Allison Ochs grew up in a small town in Utah as one of 11 children. Her family was truly unique: an interracial family consisting of five adopted and six biological children. Defined by her unusual family experiences, she knew at an early age that she wanted to travel and help others.

Over the past 20 years, she has done just that. She has lived, worked and begun her adventures of motherhood in five different countries. She is a social worker/educator who has gained extensive knowledge about family life, various school systems, cultures and living abroad. She thrives on helping others and has accepted our invitation to write our first advice column: "Ask Allison."

If you have a question or a topic you would like Allison to discuss in an upcoming Tulip Talk issue, Ask Allison.
