Philanthropy and Community Service

Philanthropy is a core value of our club, and volunteering is central to the mission of the AWCA. Our communities continue to need support, and we are excited about the meaningful impact we can make together in the year ahead.

We currently support several local organizations, including De Kloof - part of De Regenboog Groep, a men’s homeless shelter in Amsterdam. Members who enjoy cooking or baking are invited to sign up to participate.

We also volunteer with the Blijf Groep in Amsterdam and Stem in de Stad in Haarlem, providing practical assistance and fostering a sense of community.

In addition, new volunteer opportunities are emerging with TKRAMREPUS, the reverse supermarket. Keep an eye on the calendar for upcoming opportunities.

As part of a global organization, we participate with other FAWCO (Federation of Women's Clubs Overseas) Clubs to spread awareness and raise funds for the FAWCO Target Program. The newly launched FAWCO Target Program focuses on a sustainable investment supporting women's and girls' education.
